FUCK YR PUSSY · FUCK MY PUSSY
The Death of Bunny MunroFUCK YR PUSSY / FUCK MY PUSSY is an obscene message formed from the coloured magnetic alphabet on Bunny’s refrigerator. First discovered as FUCK YR PUSSY, it is later altered by River into FUCK MY PUSSY. The small change in wording and ownership gives the expression its narrative force: the same letters move from addressing someone to speaking in the first person, while the identity of the original writer remains uncertain.
Discovery on the Refrigerator
The magnetic alphabet had decorated the refrigerator in a nonsensical scramble for five years. When Bunny opens the fridge, he sees that the letters have been arranged into the message. He wonders who could have done it, but the passage does not establish an author. The phrase thus appears as a disruption of a familiar domestic arrangement: the letters are ordinary household objects, newly ordered into an explicit statement.
Uncertain Attribution
Later, River points to the message and asks Bunny whether he wrote it. He says he thinks his wife, Libby Munro, may have done so. His answer is tentative, not a confirmation, so the attribution stays unresolved. The scene preserves that uncertainty rather than explaining the message’s origin.
River’s Revision
River takes a yellow plastic M and makes a small amendment, changing FUCK YR PUSSY to FUCK MY PUSSY. The added letter shifts the phrase from a direct address to a first-person possessive declaration. Bunny leans in to inspect the letters, but they blur and warp before his eyes; he moves back and forth without bringing them into focus and asks what he is seeing. The revision therefore occurs in a moment when the message is materially legible but, for Bunny, visually difficult to grasp.
